R.I.P. Brittany Murphy (1977-2009)

The year of death has claimed the life of another celebrity. This time actress, Brittany Murphy. She was known for her roles in such movies as Clueless, Girl Interrupted, Don't Say a Word, 8 Mile and Sin City to name a few. (Filmography) Cause of death is reported to be cardiac arrest, which comes as a shock to many because she was so young. She was found dead at her home in the shower next to a pile of vomit. Her family reports that she was sick with flu-like symptoms and was also taking a list of prescription pills, some doctors are saying this could be what caused the heart attack. This hits close to home for me, not only because he age is the same as mine but also because I used to have the biggest crush on her and she was one of my favorite actresses. Her performances in both Girl Interrupted, Spun and Don't Say a Word her best work in my book. She had a bright future ahead of her and it is no doubt a tragic loss for Hollywood.
